About Authorize.Net

Authorize is the direct transaction portal you will use with any Credit Card Transaction, whether you’re looking up an online charge, or preparing to authorize a charge manually. 

Charge a Card in Authorize

It is recommended you have a browser window open for Authorize and another opened for Admin and CRM. 

  1. Open Authorize.Net
  2. Locate Customer CRM
  3. Copy Customer’s Credit Card Number
  4. Log in to Authorize.Net
  5. Select the “Tools” tab at the top of the page
  6. Input the necessary information:
    * Credit Card Number
    * Credit Card Expiration Date
    * Order Total
    * Order Invoice Number
    * Order Description
    * Customer First and Last Name
  7. Click Submit to complete the Transaction

Search a Transaction

  1. Open and Log into Authorize.Net
  2. Select the “Transaction Search” tab at the top of the page

    If the order is over 24 hours old, follow these steps
  1. Use the drop-down tab to select “ALL Settled” as the settlement dates
  2. Use one form of information to locate the transaction
    * Credit Card used for the order
    * Transaction ID (Can be found in Admin on the specific order page IF placed online)
    * Customer First and Last Name
    * Order Invoice Number

    If the order is recent and has been placed within the last 24 hours, follow these steps
  1. Use the drop-down tab to select the “Unsettled” as the settlement date
  2. Use one form of information to locate the transaction
    * Credit Card used for the order
    * Transaction ID (Can be found in Admin on the specific order page IF placed online)
    * Customer First and Last Name
    * Order Invoice Number

Void a Transaction

  1. Locate transaction in Authorize.Net
  2. Click on the Transaction ID
  3. Select the “Void” Button
  4. When the Warning box ups up – Select the “OK” button
  5. Your Payment is now voided
  6. Note customer’s account in CRM

Refund a Transaction

  1. Locate transaction in Authroize.Net – only available for orders currently in “Settled successfully”
  2. Click on the Transaction and Select the “refund” button
  3. Ensure that all information is filled out on the Refund Transaction Screen
    * Adjust refund amount if necessary
    * The description box is filled out
    * The Customer email is included
    * The Email transaction Receipt box is checked
  4. Select “Ok” and Note customer’s account in CRM
